For Participation in the Multi‑Day Group Swim Event
Participants must be 18 years or older at the start of the event. Swimmers aged 14–17 may participate only if accompanied in the water by a responsible adult swimmer who accepts full responsibility for them. Written parental or guardian consent is required for all participants under 18.
All swimmers must possess the necessary swimming ability to safely participate in multi‑day open‑water swimming. This is a group swim, not a race. Participants agree to maintain the agreed group pace and remain with their assigned group at all times. No swimmer may be more than 25 meters away from their group during any swim session. Where possible, swimmers may be divided into groups based on speed.
Participants confirm that they are in adequate physical and mental health to undertake extended periods of open‑water swimming. They must disclose any relevant medical conditions (e.g., cardiac history, epilepsy, severe allergies, asthma) during registration and accept full responsibility for assessing their own fitness, seeking medical advice if unsure.
Participants acknowledge the inherent risks of open‑water swimming, including but not limited to waves, currents, cold water, sun exposure, marine life, fatigue, changing weather, and submerged or floating objects. Participation is strictly at the swimmer's own risk.
Participants consent to receive first aid or emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary by organisers or medical personnel, with all related costs borne by the participant. Emergency contact information must be provided during registration.
Participants agree to follow all safety instructions from organisers, guides, and support staff. The organisers reserve the right to remove any swimmer from the water at any time if they determine that continuing would be unsafe due to the swimmer's physical or mental condition, marine life presence, dangerous objects, vessel traffic, pollution, weather, currents, water temperature, or any other hazard.
No alcohol or recreational drugs may be consumed before or during any swim. The organisers reserve the right to immediately withdraw any participant from swimming or other event activities if there is reasonable suspicion that the participant is under the influence of alcohol or any substance that could impair judgment, safety, or performance. Organisers may also exclude a participant from specific sessions or the entire event—without refund—for serious or repeated breaches of safety rules, intoxication, or inappropriate behaviour toward others.
Mandatory safety equipment, as specified on the event website and FAQ, must be used at all times. Respectful behaviour toward fellow swimmers, staff, volunteers, and the local culture and traditions of the host country (Turkey) is required.
Participants understand and agree that the event schedule is subject to change due to circumstances beyond the organisers' control, including weather conditions, sea state, local regulations, or safety considerations.
Parts of the event may be modified, shortened, or cancelled for safety reasons. Organisers will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative swim routes when possible, but such adjustments do not constitute grounds for refunds. No refunds or credits are provided if a participant chooses to miss or leave any part of the event.
If the organisers cancel the event in full (e.g., due to low registrations or force majeure), participants will receive a refund of fees paid, minus any non‑recoverable costs; this refund is the full extent of the organisers' liability.
Participants are responsible for bringing all required swim equipment as described on the event website and in the FAQ. The organisers are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, including swim equipment.
If a participant wishes to bring a partner or companion, this must be arranged with and confirmed by the organisers in advance.
A non‑refundable deposit is required to secure a place in the event. Full payment must be made according to the published payment schedule.
If a participant disagrees with any of these Terms & Conditions, they may cancel their registration within 24 hours of payment and receive a refund of the deposit minus a €50 administration fee plus 3% transaction fee. After this 24‑hour period, the deposit remains fully non‑refundable.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, participants are responsible for arranging their own travel, accommodation, and meals.
Participants are expected to be punctual and attend all scheduled briefings, transport departures, and swim sessions.
Organisers accept no liability for injuries, accidents, or losses arising from participation, except where required by law. Participants may choose to obtain personal travel, health, or sports insurance that covers open‑water swimming.
Photographs and videos may be taken during the event. Some images may be used on the organisers' website, social media channels (including adcragumswim), and other promotional materials. By participating in the event, participants grant the organisers full, perpetual, and royalty‑free rights to use, reproduce, edit, and publish such images and videos for marketing and documentation purposes. Participants who do not consent to being photographed must inform the organisers in writing before the event.
By registering, participants consent to being contacted by phone, email, and messaging platforms for all communications related to the event.
Personal data will be used solely for event administration and safety purposes, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Participants are expected to act with care toward the environment, the local community, and the natural and cultural heritage of the host region.
